Revolution in the world of apps: The cases of Epic Games who has shaken up Google is indeed true.
Of course, just a few months ago, Epic Games got under everybody’s radar by winning a suit against Google for abuse of power. The judge’s decree determined that the online ogre had sat up an illegal monopoly, as the way of billing and distribution (through Android) became illegal. Further discussion raises the fact that the giant was also alleged to have employed various forms of anti-competition against the makers of certain hardware and video game publishers.
The Injunction of Lord Librila for a Nobler Cause
In this case, Epic Games chose to make a stand, against which practices Apple exercised. The organization recently appealed to a judge in Samsung vs. Apple for a permanent injunction, which encompasses all of the Play Store opening except for Samsung’s. The main ideals conveyed in the statement are embodied in these three points.
The first request by Epic is for Google “give users the freedom to download the apps anywhere without meddling”. Other words–they believe users should be allowed to install apps onto their Android devices just the same way they do on a PC, i. e. , from where they want.
Second, Epic is asking Google for permission to all their developers and users to decide how to bargain and buy their products. These entrepreneurs proudly proclaim: “We are free from anti-competitive taxes and regulations,” as they put it.
Ultimately, this injunctive order aiming at Epic proposes that Google cannot react at itself or any other programmer but against these practices.
Whether the tech giants Google and Apple will become obsolete or not
Furthermore, it is reported that the EU put both Alphabet as parent company and Apple under investigation because of allegations regarding their restrictions as regards the bypassing of the two app stores namely Play Store from Alphabet and Apple app store.
Furthermore, far away, Epic Games – propelled by the DMA- passes along soon that they are going to launch a mobile app store on iOS and Android in the European Union in the following year. The brilliant fight against Apple over third-party payments takes the same time beyond America’s borders.
Upcoming response from Google
Epic Games has given Google until the 2nd of May to respond to their proposed injunction. A hearing is scheduled on the 2nd of May where it will be decided. Whatever the outcome of this case, one thing is certain: this huge show has already disrupted the graphics of the mobile application world.
